Every sentence ends with a typed citation — Qur'an ayah, hadith with grading, classical fiqh text with volume and page, or named scholar fatwa. A claim without a citation is replaced by a refusal.
Isnad answers questions about Islam by citing the scholars and texts behind every sentence. Qur'an with surah and ayah. Hadith with grading. Fiqh with volume and page. Fatwas with the named scholar and methodological lineage. If we cannot cite it, we will not say it.

When citing a ruling, Isnad names the madhhab and methodological lineage. We surface the disagreement and never present a minority position as consensus.
For personal crisis, court matters, takfīr of named individuals, or any sensitive ikhtilāf — Isnad gives framing and hands off to a named human scholar. It will never issue a binding fatwa.
Tanzil Uthmani text — recension pinned. 1,400 years stable. Cited as [Q surah:ayah].

Official bodies (Permanent Cmte., Dār al-Iftāʾ, Diyanet) and vetted scholar sites — each tagged with methodology.
A named scholar reviews the synthesis. Their name and the date of review appear under the answer. Auditable end-to-end.
400 scholar-authored questions across ʿaqīdah, ṣalāh, zakāh, muʿāmalāt, nikāḥ, modern issues and sensitive edge cases. Provenance integrity, source authenticity, madhhab faithfulness, disagreement honesty — ten dimensions, scored 0–5. Released CC-BY-SA after launch so other Islamic AI products can grade themselves against it.
Isnad is free, forever — for every Muslim, in any language. The work is paid for by supporters who treat it as ṣadaqah jāriyah. Three thousand supporters at $3 a month covers the entire year-one infrastructure and reviewer honoraria, with the surplus going back into more reviewed pages.
